Project Introduction
We were honored to collaborate with a renowned Ethiopian artist to create a 4-meter-high sculpture of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for a government public project. The artist’s meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the clay model and patina layering, led him to visit our factory twice during the creation process. This partnership not only strengthened our friendship but also earned high praise for our craftsmanship and efficiency. The completed sculpture has been transported to the installation site, and we eagerly await the unveiling ceremony, where we will share project updates and photos.
Customization of Real-Person Photos
When the artist told us that he wanted to make a sculpture of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, our artists found a large number of real-life photos and videos, striving to restore the appearance of the figure 100%.
Collaborative Clay Model Creation Process
The artist had very strict requirements for the details of the clay model. During the process of modifying the clay model, the artist came to the factory twice to have in-depth discussions and cooperation with our artists, and continuously adjusted the details of the Prime Minister’s face until the real appearance of the character was reflected.
Patina Requires a Sense of Hierarchy
The artist asked us to make the patina reflect the layers of different body parts and clothes. Whether it is facial expression or clothes, the color should be emphasized. Our artist is very good at color matching, and the client is very satisfied with our overall effect.
